hay, i want to know if its possible to run php on my windows xp laptop.
i heard its possible but i have no idea how to do this.
i want to be able to run my php sites, but also, to be able to run php scrips with mysql database. i read alot of online crap but none seems to explain how to do that. i read your article on how you can run a wallpaper website from your home dsl, but i need a server technology like apache.
can you help?
i had the same questions when i started to learn about php and mysql, i didnt want to have to test my scripts on my website, cuz that meant i had to upload the file and then see the results.
its just faster and more convinient if you edit the script and run it in real time from your computer..
well, i know how you can do this..
there is a package called xampp, you dont need to install it as an application on your computer.. heck, if you want, you can run ther server using your USB pin drive.
