is it true that if you try to take the emissions test you will fail if your airbag light is on? i am getting ready to take my car for the state inspection but im scared to because my friend said that i will not pass because the air bag light indicator warning is turned on. having a failed air bag light will prevent you from passing the emessions state inspection?

My car also has air bag light on & is due for illinois emission test..
Anyone know if this will cause it to fail?

Airbag light on has nothing to do with vehicle emission.
This is safety issue for you.

my airbag failed living in california, the guy at the shop told me i have to let it clear for hour minimum before i can restest again
