i had surgery yesterday and my stomach feels so inflated like i have a lot of air. it seems like after a surgery or operation your intestines go inot a sleep mode and then when you're surgery is over they start to normalize but take a couple of day to get back to normal. has anyone else eperienced this. i had my surgery done at mills penisula hospital (mills-peninsula health services a sutter health affiliate) can anyone else tell me what their expirience has been. i mean there's gotta be some people who had surgery there. right.

my father had colon cancer, he had it removed in an operation through his belly. he then had fluid build-up under the skin and outside the organs. he had to have it drained by a needle. two weeks later the fluid is back..(unkown reason). his stomach is streched to the point of it being painfull. i have been doing research online and waiting for awnsers. the doctors are just giving bs reasons. he never had this problem untill after the surgery. i posted this info on a forum (medhelp(dot)org) replace the(dot) with a (.) thanks!
