Im 15, and i have been known to have cancer in my family, i had leukemia when i was 2. My breasts hurt really bad, recently there became a red bump that started to swell above my breast, and i was wondering if someone could tell me what this means?

"there are glands/ducts located in the nipple and areola. areas may become clogged/plugged, irritated etc. any breast changes or abnormalities should be evaluated by a physician to identify if any underlying problems exist. i would encourage you to have an evaluation. "

those ducts that allura talked about usually only become blocked or infected while you are nursing a baby, they are milk ducts, the do, hurt, swell and become red. but if you have a familey history of cancer, talk to you dr., and your parents about it. although breast cancer would be pretty rare for a 15 year old.
