Spam Bots - What are spambots, In order to control spambots, we have also implemented this this process to wait at least a certain amount of time before you can download a wallpaper, spambots are programs that go into website and crawl webpages to get information, its like a virtual user, this takes alot of resources from us, because they are programmed to load pages one after another.

would be better to use phpbb3, then you can embed images into the forum, and deny access to image pages to bots/spiders.

another way is to use picture codes... you know? the little pictures that have letters and numbers on them... bots can't get past those either because a bot cannot read a picture...
using picture codes would be more ideal in my opinion because it will eliminate the need to wait that sixty seconds, plus you don't need to use it in between every single picture like you seem to be doing with the 60 second thing. picture codes can be set to pop up after however many pictures you want, i'd say 10 is ideal, and set the 10 per day limit that you have now up to 20 or 30, maybe higher!
if a good majority of people enjoy collecting wallpapers like me, it's nothing for us to collect a good 200 or 300 wallpapers within a couple hours time. i must say, i've seen a good share of wallpaper websites but never one that only allows it's registered members a certain amount per day. never have i seen a wallpaper site that keeps a download counter that keeps going up whether you save the wallpaper or not, and never have i seen a site that even considers just looking at a picture to be a download. i understand that the picture is downloading to my view, but so is everything else on the net.
this is the first site i've seen that actually cares about that. being that i have somewhat of a marketing background, i would suggest looking into some on-screen advertisements (not pop-ups)that pay you everytime it's clicked; as well as places that pay you just for navigating through your own site. these programs are available and really pay off if you take them seriously. imagine taking your limits away and getting paid for every wallpaper that gets clicked on. it may not be much but it stacks up and will pay to keep the site running.
as of now, also from a marketers perspective, the fact that a lot of people don't like to stop at just 10 is driving away potential visitors here. the 60 second thing is driving away even more! but i can't end this without at least saying that i like your layout and how the site navigates. it's a positive 90 percent user friendly.
in closing, the site is great but the 60 seconds gotta go and picture codes need to replace it, or at least make the 60 second thing happen after you've looked at a few pics instead of between every one, and allow your registered users more than 10 a day. 40 is ideal and beyond that you get a picture code every 10 pictures, you'll definitely make the collectors happier that way.
