What Does The Bible Say About Beating Children Hiting Kids Punish Disipline
In Proverbs 23:13 the bible tells us how to correct children:
Quote:
13. Do not withhold correction from a child, for if you beat him with a rod, he will not die.
14. You shall beat him with a rod, and deliver his soul from hell.
I thnk this means if you correct a child because he or she did something bad (evil) by beating him her for the purpose of correcting him/her so the child will not do it again, it will keep him away from trouble or from evil.
A word of caution: Sometimes we loose our temper and want to take it out on our children or our defenseless love ones, when you feel these evil feelings, stop and pray to Jesus to give you patience and tolerance to deal with your love ones in a more Jesus-like way. Remember our Lord’s teachings and keep them in your heart. Pray to the Lord for patience and tolerance. In some parts of the world, it iligal to beat children.

spare the rod spoil the child means....if u do not correct ur children in the ways that are wrong (spare the rod) then they will not learn and expect everything to be handed to them and that everyone owes them. (spoil the child)

if the child is not bad then there is no need to hurt them

if the child is not bad than there is no need to hurt them but if they are bad then i could understand them hitting them but not enough to leave bruises on them if you do thats called child abuse

i am a single mother of four, trying to attend college, cheerleading practices and take care of 4 girls ages 7,4,3 and 2.they are very loud, rude and always do something bad even when they need to use the restroom.the little ones still get into everything they can when they see a moment of chance.its hard to go to the grocery store, parks etc because they will run off and laugh about it.i have tried differant disipline tactics, from spanking, trying to keep them in a corner, time out and even asking and yes bribing.i know they have goodness in them and they r full of life.they believe in jesus.i just wanted to know if there was anything else i could do?(one of them was diagnosed with adhd).
