everyone believes that marcellus wallas' soul is in the suitcase because he was selling it to the devil. the band aid on the back of his neck was rumored to be where his soul was taken from. in an interview with tarentino, he says him self that it was never written what was in the brief case and that he left that out purposely to get the viewer to wonder about what was in it. he said the band aid was just a visual prop and had no meaning what so ever other than that marcellus had a band aid on the back of his neck. so technically whatever you want to be in the brief case, is actually what is really in there.
