
Jonathan Jacob Charles William Smith was born on January , 1990 is an American actor. He is perhaps best known for his role in the film Cheaper by the Dozen and its 2005 sequel.Jacob Smith was born in Monrovia, California and is Jewish Christian; he has a brother, Nathanael, a sister, Natasha, and an orange cat named Riley. His parents are divorced; he lives with his father in Monrovia, California. Smith listens to punk/rock music and was in a band called My September Story. Smith also enjoys skating, and was in a sponsored skating team in his hometown. Smith is currently a student at Monrovia High School. He played the electric guitar in the most recent band that he was in, Althea, but the band broke up Smith was cast as Hansel, opposite Taylor Momsen's Gretel, in the 00 film version of Hansel and Gretel, which received a limited theatrical release in October 00. He was subsequently cast as one of twelve children in the family comedy, Cheaper by the Dozen, which was released in December 003 and became a box office success, gaining Smith renown with pre-teen audiences. In 004, he had a minor role in the film, Troy and appeared on the television series Without a Trace. He also reprised his role of Jake Baker in Cheaper by the Dozen , which was released in December 005 and performed fairly well at the box office.
