i have a linux computer but unlike windows i cant find my cdrom on my computer anywhere
should there be an icon or something

you would have to mount the cd within the shell comand line
send this command if you are using redhat fedora or centos:
now go to to the /mnt/cdrom and you can find all the files in there
if you have any questions just ask
