lets say you are 14,15,16,17,18 or even 19 years old, if you've never had sex before in your life, that makes you a virgin, but how about if you masturbate? does that count as loosing your virginity?
i know this question sounds complicated, my and my friend are trying to find out who's right, he says that you are still a virgin no matter what, unless you actually do it with a girl.
i think once at school they told us that if girls masturbate themselves, they automatically loose their viriginity, same for boys. but how can you loose your virginity if you've never actually done it with someone. besides, i've never heard of girls want to learn how to masturbate themselves. guys do it all the time. i guess girls are stronger than guys when it comes to sex control.

don't believe that for a moment, girls masturbate just as much as guys do (i should know i am one ;) ) and we aren't stronger when it comes to resisting sex.
as to the rest of your question, you are considered a virgin until you have sex for the first time, nothing to do with masturbation.
for girls, we are no longer virgins when they hyman breaks, a little bit of delicate skin at the opening to the virgina, this can be done in completely none sexual instances, like horse or bike riding to name but two.
